What If Naruto Had Every Tailed Beast?
This isn't exactly something new. Naruto actually did do this in some fashion during the fourth great ninja war. If you recall, Obito scooped out some tailed beast juice from Moa's bucket and gave it to Naruto, who had the consciousnesses of all nine of the tailed beasts in him, essentially becoming the answer to Moa's 10iles ginuriki. All nine beasts inside of him. Naruto gained six path sage mode and was able to keep up with Moa. and even with the help of Sasuke defeat Kagayya Utsodsuki. Naruto's connection to the tailed beasts is sweet. But this what if actually tackles another question as well in what if Hashiama kept all nine beasts. If you recall, Hashiama Senu after his epic battle with Moa apparently discovered that wood release was super effective against tailed beasts and as such decided it would be a wonderful idea to collect the others as if filling out the Konoha region Pokedex. Normally, he would sell them off under Tobyama's decision in hopes of keeping the world from going to war, but uh what if he just didn't? Welcome to the Amagi. Shukaku, raccoon of the sands. Matatabi, the burning feline. Isobu, armored mollisk. Son Goku, legendary monkey king. Koko, boiling horse. Syiken, the soap bubble slug. Chome, chivalous beetle. Guyuki, the oxrong octopus. Octopus, if you would. Then last, but definitely not least, Kurama, the ninetailed celestial fox. These were their names, the names of all nine beasts. In an earlier era, they were feared, respected as deities of their own particular province. The guardian spirits of the land, keeping order and balance between the world of humans and the world of animals. But it all changed when a man with a kaleidoscope eye found the strongest of the nine, Kurama, and willed him to do as he pleased. Kurama, a prisoner within his own mind, lacked the ability to say no and instead followed every order with a vicious zeal. that led him into battle against the mighty Hokag, the founding fire shadow of the leaf, Hashiama Senju. Though Kurama was powerful, his strength bolstered by Moa Susano, Hashiama somehow beat Sensei to him, though such sense left Kurama unconscious. For days, the battle between Matera and Hashiama lasted. But in the end, Hashiama vanquished the evil Moa and took Kurama as his prize. It was from this that Hashiamurama began to think about the power and applications of the tailed beasts. A thought crossed his mind. What if I collect them? He wondered. What if I gave them to the other nations? Maybe then that would bring a lasting peace. After all, the only thing these nations desire is security, right? Well, after taking all the tailed beasts and holding on to them, the time came for the five kag summit, an attempt to avoid the issues that were slowly driving the five great nations toward a world war. Just the latest in the wars that had plagued this world. The first day of the summit was a disaster. An absolute disaster. Some of the Kag were fighting, calling on allies, and making threats. That's when Hashiama told Tobiiama about his plan. I'm thinking about giving them each two-tailed beasts. That way, it should help balance power. Tobiiama looked at his brother with a harsh, judgmental stare. Well, you don't have to poo poo on me over it. The dejection in Hashiama's face showed. Sorry, this is my thinking face, Tobiiama said. You must always be thinking because you always seem pissed off. Keep talking and I'll show you what my pissed-off face really looks like. This drew a smile from both brothers. As Tobiiama thought about it, he nearly agreed with Hashiama, save for the point of giving them away for free. He would have recommended charging for them, but then he stopped. Actually, I don't think it's such a good idea, Tobiiama said. Hashiama seemed shocked. You don't, Tobiiama nodded. On paper, it's actually a very wise decision. By evenly distributing weapons of mass destruction, you would think fear of mutual destruction would be enough to push them back. But we can't forget that these weapons aren't the same as other WMDs. It can be very hard and very dangerous. It's not like we're firing a missile. Genturi are warriors. It's like asking a strapped soldier to wander into a village and detonate. He's not going to be able to go in unopposed. Not to mention, you yourself has demonstrated that Kag and those close to them in power have the ability to repel or even defeat a tailed beast. I don't think tailed beasts are necessarily strong enough to cause fear of mutually assured destruction. Especially considering that there's no long-term effects to using them. No nuclear fallout. That and one-tailed beast can be used to counter another. All we would be doing is equipping our enemies with the power required to destroy us, not causing them to give up on war. Hashiama thought about it. Tobiiama was right. A tailed beast was powerful, but its powerful was not quite as worldending as it seemed. But what else was Hashiama supposed to do? If we don't do this, then we go to war, Hashiama said. If we do this, we go to war, Tobiiama said. Hashiama seemed troubled. Tobiiama knelt down by his brother and put his hands upon his shoulders. Though Tobiiama rarely showed it, his EQ was as high as his IQ. He spoke, "Hashiama, I know you're scared. The concept of war." Going back to it, it's frightening. Itama and kawa, the hokag said. Tobiiama nodded. They were my brothers, too. Not a day passes that I don't think about them. I lost my brothers to war. We both did. A second passed by as Hashiama contemplated what to say next. If we go to war, who's to say there won't be other brothers who will perish because of it? I've had my fill of war. Hashiama said, "No more. I don't want to see anymore." Tobiiama hugged his brother. "I know, Hashiama. I've seen enough war to fill a lifetime. If I never see war again, it'll be too soon. But the thing is, whether war comes or not isn't up to us. War comes whether we want it or not. It's a symptom of the human condition and the inability or refusal of others to try and understand the other. We can't stop the war, Hashiama. And if we try to carry that on our back, we will be crushed. The world is just too heavy to lift. And we don't even have the right to lift it anyway. It's a team effort, but we don't have a team. Not when they, the other Kag are at each other's throats. Then what do we do? Hashiama asked. Tobiramama sat there and thought about it. I don't think it's possible that we can stop a war from breaking out, he said. But I do think that if we go to war, it's possible for us to make sure it's the last war ever. Hashiama's eyes lit up. How? Tobiiama then spoke. The tailed beasts you have, you wish to use them to balance out power between the five nations, right? Because even one of those beasts is enough to topple a nation. But what about all nine? How many nations could a single village with all nine beasts topple? If no other village has a beast like the nine we've collected, then Konoha should theoretically topple the whole world. Then that's what we need to do. Keep all nine with us. We seal them into a single person, and that person becomes the strongest shinobi in the world. With strength comes respect. Then we become the world's police," Hashiama asked. Tobiama nodded. I know it might seem distasteful, but we won't be forcing our will on any other nation without proper reason. They remain autonomous, but if war breaks out or one village or nation begins to encroach upon another unfairly, we will be the ones heading negotiations, and these other villages will have no other choice but to follow our will. You sound almost like Moa," Hashiama said. Tobiama seemed to visibly cringe at the idea of it, but all the same, he couldn't help it. I guess a broken clock is right twice a day, Tobiiama said. Hashiama looked down. Did we really need to kill Moa? He would have destroyed everything we worked so hard to build. I know he was your friend, but even if we went along with his plan, this plan from the start, he still likely would have caused more trouble than he was worth. The moment he didn't get his way, it would have been a civil war. Hashiama looked down. That doesn't fix the pain I still feel. Tobiiama nodded. I didn't intend for it to. What do I do? Hashiama asked. Tobiiama gave him his honest advice. Tomorrow issue your ultimatum to the other four Kag. They will take offense, Hashiama said. Tobyama nodded. I know, and it will cause a war. Of that, I have no doubt, but this is the level of boldness we need right now. Konoha was the first hidden village to be formed. It's time for us to step forward and claim our place as leader of the pack. We will lead, and they'll follow. And if they choose not to follow, they'll be destroyed. That seems harsh. Hashiama said, "It is, but think of it like this. If we don't take the initiative to end the fighting personally, we're going to see the fighting continue. When too many hands are on the wheel, we all crash into the ditch. We have the power to enforce peace, and we have the proper self-processions to ensure that this power is only used to enforce matters of peace. But what happens if the wrong hands become the enforcers? when all that power is conglomerated into one place. Hashiama trailed off. Tobiiama nodded. I see what you mean. But there will be systems in place to ensure that the wrong people stay out of power. You better be right about this. Hashiama said. Tobiiama once more placed his hand on Hashiama's shoulder. I am. Don't worry about it. And so the next day, Hashiama sat there in front of the other Kag. Catching a glance from Tobiiama. Hashiama knew it was time. As the Kag were bickering amongst themselves, Hashiama cleared his throat. "Excuse me," he said, attempting to get their attention. Nothing happened. He cleared his throat again. When nothing happened still, he called out once more. "Excuse me." Nobody paid any attention. Tobiiama then smashed his fist on the table hard enough to cause a noticeable wobble. "The four kag looked to him." "The Hokag wishes to speak," he said. Turning their attention toward Hashiama, Hashiama took a deep breath and put on his sternest face. This summit is about one thing and one thing only, peace. There is no walking away from this table without understanding that, without it being enforced. I spent my whole life in war. Many of you did as well. Maybe I can't speak for all of you, but I will not see the world fall back into war. But if it does, I promise you this. I will ensure it's the last war that's ever fought. Is that a threat? Ishiawa, the first such Kag asked. Hashiama took another deep breath as shadows formed over his face from the new angle with which he held his head. It is, he said. The four Kag finally found something to agree on, which was a laugh. With all due respect, Lord Hokag, Ishiawa said. While it's admirable for you, you're literally saying that you and your village could take on the whole world and win. It's not possible. The such kag waved Hashiama off and prepared to continue his conversation with the other Kag when suddenly from below him, vines reached up and gripped him by the arms, hands, feet, and head. What? Hashiama, what's the meaning of this? Hashiama stood. You think this is a game? The Hokag asked. You think you can just laugh me off and continue your bickering with the other Kag? This is a violation of the rules of the summit. The rules that I wrote, Hashiama said, I will break them as I please. I am letting you all know now. I'm putting you on notice. Should I find a single aggressor amongst you in regards to another nation, encroaching on their sovereign rights to their land, I will personally put an end to you. The other three Kag were standing. Now, this is what we get for trusting a leaf shinobi. Byakurin, the first Mizukag said, "Just because you were the first village formed, you think you have say in anything we do?" Ishiawa was then cut free by his retainers. Hashiama then spoke, "Are you all going to force a demonstration from me? You speak of your own might, Reto." The first Kazak said, "I understand what it is to gather together mighty warriors out of pure respect for your power, and the one thing I learned from all of those was that talk is cheap. If you possess the power and threaten to use it, then you better damn well make good on your threat. Elsewise, it'll do nothing but make you look weak. You better be certain about what you're doing, Senu. This will be war if you don't back down. And if I do back down, it'll be war still. If war is inevitable either way, then I might as well use it as an opportunity to prove why. From here on, all foreign matters on a national level will be the jurisdiction of the leaf and only the leaf. You're a fool, Reto said. But if you want to prove yourself, then go right ahead. We've got enough Shinobi to spare for your scrawny ass, too. This was another thing all the Kag agreed to. And that marked the beginning of the first Shinobi World War. On their way home, Hashiama spoke. "Are you sure we did the right thing, Tobiiama?" Tobiiama nodded. "I do. For now, we need to prepare. Gather the tailed beasts. It's time for us to prepare for war. And so, Hashiama did just that. Gathering together the most skilled Fuenjutsu masters of Usuzo Gakade, they made preparations to seal all nine beasts into a single vessel. That vessel Hashiama had chosen to be himself. He had at first considered sealing them into an Usuzamaki, particularly his wife, as they were the ones most able to keep the beasts sealed inside of them. But he decided against that as he was the one who was responsible for bringing the world to war. And so he sealed them inside of himself. With all beasts and their chakra sealed into him, Hashiama awakened a power he never knew was possible, an unprecedented power. There was a synergy amongst the tailed beasts. Together, they were more than any of them could be alone, and their combined power was greater than the sum of their parts. Hashiama awakened a power within him that could only be called similar to that of the sage of six paths. From behind him, he formed nine separate black orbs. Study of these led Tobyama to believe that somehow Hashiama had mixed all five chakra natures together along with yin and yang releases. These had such destructive power that even a single one could eradicate a whole village. It was this power Hashiama would use to bring peace to the world. The power of the strongest Hokag in the world mixed with the power of all tailed beasts. He would make examples of his power to all those who could see. Leveling entire forests, taking out a lot of Shinobi with his power. The horror of it was so stout that the other Shinobi nations began to realize that they could not fight Hashiama. Not headon, of course, but Konoha had trained so many skilled shinobi and were fortified enough that they couldn't really sneak in to assassinate him or anything like it. So, as it stood, they were absolutely helpless before the new world police force that was Konoha. As such, negotiations finally opened up. After all, if Hashiama could shave a whole forest floor and then flatten a mountain, what could he do in a village? And so, a new five kag summit was called for the purpose of peace talks. Hashiama would attend. To that he grew pleased as the other nations decided to cease hostilities, functionally ending the first Shinobi World War. From there, the world knew peace. And as time passed on, Hashiama continued to play the part of Hokag and Ginuriki until such a time he developed a terminal illness and perished. From there, Tobiiama would be named the next Tokag, and a young girl from the recently destroyed Usuzi Gakade named Kusha would be named as the next Ginuriki of the tailed beasts. She displayed the same powers as Hashiama Senju. She was treated like a princess due to her abilities, and due to this, she attracted many suitors, but none of which proved to be worthy. That was until one young man, Minato Namakazi, student of Jeriah, student of Hiazen, who himself was a first generation student of Hashiama and Tobiiama, set his eyes on claiming her heart. To that end, he knew not only did he need devilishly good looks, which when he looked in the mirror, automatically checked off the list, he also needed to have a great personality and status. When confiding in Jeriah, Jeriah told him that there was hardly a single person in all of Konoha with a heart quite like Mitos. He had somehow managed to mix his caring nature with his forceful power, being capable of fighting and negotiating. If a threat appeared, his heart demanded that he talk them down kindly. And if that didn't work, he had power unlike any he had seen since the first Tokag to fall back on. So all he needed now was status. He set his eyes on the only position in Konoha that could technically issue orders to Kusha. That being the office of Hokag, a man driven by passion in his heart and the desire to love and be loved, set about his missions with feverish zeal. As he grew, with Jeriah there to support him and maybe pull a few strings, he managed to get Mito into a position where he could be feasibly tested for it. So, he trained his hardest and did his best not to only be quick and efficient. By this point in time, Tobiiama had already stepped down and was in his old age. So, Hiazen had taken over for him as the third Hokag. Hi remembered Mito and being told exactly why by Jeriah he wanted so badly to be Hokag. He remembered the conversation he had with him just before he decided to make Mino his successor. He had called him into his office. Mino. Jeriah tells me you're interested in my position as Hokag. Mito took a deep breath wondering if this meant he was about to be awarded it. I do indeed. Minito said, trying to remain respectful and serious. His slowly smiled as he thought about it. You know, if you're only doing this because you like Kusha and want her to go out with you, I could just put you on her guard detail. Then you'll get a chance to actually meet her before you waste your life. Waste? Mito questioned. Hi nodded. Have you ever considered what would happen if you became Hokag and she didn't like you? I have, sir, Mito said. Wouldn't that be a bunch of wasted years? His asked. Mito shook his head. No sir, it wouldn't. Here isn't raised an eyebrow waiting for Mito to explain, which of course he did. Did I make the decision to become Hokage based on my desire to meet Kusha? Yes. But if you're asking me if my life would be wasted if it turned out that she wasn't right for me, I would disagree. You see, while I made the decision to truly pursue this path due to Kusha, prior to this, I made the decision to become a Shinobi based purely on my desire to protect this wonderful village and all the people inside of it. So, if you ask me if my life will be wasted if Kusha does not want me, I would say it wouldn't be because it simply means that I accomplished my prior mission better than I could have ever dreamed and will be content with that. Thinking my life was well-lived and possessed meaning smiled. Congratulations, Mito. I am prepared to pass on the title of Hokag to you. He stood from his seat. Mito's eyes widened in shock for a moment, staring amazedly at Hiin before he once more returned to attention. You won't be disappointed, sir. And here wasn't. Mito was welllearned. He had apparently spent as much time honing his mind for this as he did honing his body and fulfilled the role of Hokag finally. During this time, he indeed would continue to visit Kusha, who would eventually get a little tired of it. "Listen, Lord Mino," she said, stressing his title. You may give me orders, and whatever orders they may be, I will carry them out to the best of my ability, but I'm not interested in any inappropriate relationships. I may be an attractive woman, but as the Hokag, you have to exercise caution. Just because you have power doesn't mean you can use it for selfish reasons. Have I been? He asked. I just thought I could come see you, he continued. Well, no, you haven't abused it. I'm just saying. A man of your stature shouldn't try to win me over by flaunting your power, she said. If you truly desire me, then just give me the order, and whatever you ask, I will do. Kusha thought that's exactly what Mito wanted, but found her surprise when she saw the shock on his face. Do you talk to every Hokag that way? I don't know what you think is happening here, but I would never order you to do something like that, he said. Is it true that I find you attractive? Yes. To be perfectly honest with you, from the first day I saw you at the academy, I was completely smitten. Head over heels for you, but I'm not in this position to give you orders to marry me or anything. Who you love and who you marry is up to you, not me. If you care for me, Mito said, then do so because you care for me, not because I'm Hokag. However, if you have your eyes on someone else or simply do not wish to enter a relationship with me in general, you need only say the word and I'll leave you alone. The word, she said. Mito was confused. Huh? She spoke again. You told me you'd leave me alone if I said the word. Well, I'm saying it. The word. Mito nodded. That's all you need to say. Then he turned around and walked away. Kosha watched him go. There's no way he'll just leave me alone. She said he'll be back sooner or later. That is if he's really interested in me, she said. He is? A voice said. He is interested in you? Kurama said. You think? Kusha asked. I hate to agree with Scrawny boy, but I think he likes you too. Shukaku said. Kusha was shocked. Then he'll be back. That's how men are. Catch a whiff of something they like and they come running like a cat to too to catnip. Matabi asked. I was going to say ball of yarn, but I suppose that works too. Maybe you should come out of your shell a little and ask him out. He might surprise you. Like you're one to talk. Son Goku said all the while Kusha watched him walk away. She turned and left as well. Despite what she had said, he never did seem to bother her. This surprised her. A month went by without so much as a peep from Mito. He seemed to be more absorbed in his work than ever. Maybe he didn't like me after all, Kusha said. Nope, he still likes you, Kurama said. How can you know that? She asked. You forget. I can sense emotions in people's chakras. Kurama said. Every tailed beast has a unique and natural talent, and mine is the ability to sense chakra and emotion within. I'm a sensory type. Kusha stood there confused. Saiken then spoke. Maybe the reason he isn't messing with you is to respect your personal space. He's not going to intrude or force you to go against your own wishes just for him. Kusha thought about it. What's that I sense? Kurama asked. Shut up. Keep your nose out of my business. Kusha said as if I needed my ability to sense it. You do you. I don't care either way. You should go try it, Kushina. Koko said. I bet it'll be fun. And you can at the very least find out if he's the one who'll make you happy. I don't know. She said, "Just do it already. We already know you got the odds for him." Guy said, "I do not." She said, "Don't be preposterous, Kusha. We can see out of your eyes. We know what you stare at when he's walking away." Kusha's face grew red. So help me if you guys don't shut up. I'm coming in there to kick your butts. That's what you stare at, Yuki said, causing all the other beasts to burst out into laughter. It sounded as though Kusha had her own personal sitcom inside of her. Y'all just shut up. After this, she began to sniff around, poking at Mato proverbally. That was until they became an item, and the proverbial pokes became physical pokes, but poking only lasts so long. Eventually, that finger got a ring put on it, which was quite the surprise to all of the tailed beasts, but not Mito by any means. After marrying, the two quickly became pregnant with their first son. But things were starting to feel strange for Kusha. She was low on energy she felt and she began to realize that she couldn't really use njutsu as much as she used to be able to. Doctors chocked it up to her body using more chakra than normal to keep the baby alive. But deep down Kusha knew something wasn't right. The day came that the baby was to be born and so Kusha was taken to a new location where she'd be hidden for when she would give birth. The delivery was successful, but Kusha, despite seeming healthy, began to fade quickly. The doctors tried to keep her awake, but it became apparent that she would die. The doctors had to make a decision quickly and in the end they decided to remove the tailed beasts from her and reseal them into the child as they did not want to lose the tailed beasts when she inevitably passed away. If they had the choice, they would have sealed the tailed beasts into Mito. But Mito had been called away on a mission to another village. And considering that the baby was a month early, he wouldn't have known that she would go into labor at that time. Why she passed away was unknown to all. But the tailed beasts began to come to a conclusion. Her death was caused by the same thing that had killed the first hokag. It had been due to them. The human body was not able to carry so much chakra inside of it. And eventually the chakra pathways would begin to collapse, wearing out to the point where chakra control was impossible and even at the greatest point would result in the chakra pathway system shutting down. Kusha had already begun to experience that at some point during her pregnancy. And though it wasn't completely along yet, the act of giving birth was greater a strain than most any njutsu, which resulted in her condition exacerbating to the point of termination. And now the tailed beasts feared what might become of Naruto. This could be different, Kurama said, trying to put his brethren at ease. He's but a child now. That means he's more stretchy than an adult. His body might adjust quickly to it. And perhaps since we were introduced so early in his life, maybe he won't contract it. Ever notice how ginuriki come to rely upon our power when we're introduced? The effect is greater when the ginger is a child. Their body naturally reshapes itself to rely upon us and their own ability to create chakra slowly atrophies. That's why they die when we're removed. But those who are ginguriki from childhood die more quickly. Maybe because Kusha and Hashiama were already adults, they got sick and died. But Naruto is just a baby. Maybe he won't get sick because maybe his body will grow to accept their power without so much as a single issue. You'd better be right, Kurama, San Goku said. And when have I ever not been right, Kurama asked. Well, for starters, what about when you told us that the sage of six paths formed the moon with cheese Baku Tensei? You said you thought he did a guda job, Shukaku asked. Kurama smiled. Nope, I wasn't wrong. You are just the most gullible idiots I've ever met. After Naruto's birth, Mito was called back urgently with the news that his wife had gone into labor early, given birth to a healthy child, and passed away moments later. The journey home was the toughest thing he'd ever done. The knowledge that when he got home, he'd be unable to see his wife's loving face ever again was almost too much for him to bear. By the time the letter had gotten to him, Kusha had already been cremated. Mito cursed the speed of the mail, saying it wasn't fair for him to never see her face again. But Hisin would attempt to give him comfort by saying that sometimes it's best not to witness the body of a loved one. The reason being that now Mito's view of her could never be corrupted. If you had been there, how could you ever look at a picture of her again without reliving the moment in your head? How could you ever look into the eyes of your son without seeing hersing back and knowing what transpired? It's tragic that she passed during the birth of your child. And I will never downplay that. After all, I know what it's like to lose people I love. However, it may be a blessing in disguise that you weren't here when it happened. Blessing for who? For me wasn't a blessing for Kusha. If she had to die, I should have been there to give her peace and comfort. That wouldn't have done any good. Mitoen said the moment Naruto was born, she fell unconscious. There's a possibility she didn't even know she was dying until it happened. Mito sat there, his tears dripping on the desk where he sat. You don't know that. even unconscious. She might have somehow sensed me if I had been there. You don't understand. Hi looked down. I do understand, Mito. I missed the death of my own father. He passed away long before I could arrive. It hurt so bad to get there and be told he was already gone. How was I supposed to take that? To know I could never see him again. Not in this life anyway. The way I got through that was by looking at the positives, which was that his memory is untainted. I can look at pictures and not see him dying, but instead see him living. I had to look at the positives because if I looked at the negatives, I would have driven myself insane. So, please heed my advice. Hold on to what you have of her. Hold on to Naruto because trust me, it's not going to help you. And that's exactly what Mito did. He held on to Naruto tightly. Despite everything, he had his mother's eyes and his warrior's spirit was just the same as hers. He would have preferred that the tailed beasts be sealed in literally anybody else. But so long as they weren't causing him harm, Mino didn't mind. It seemed that during the first Okag's time, he had somehow tamed them or caused them to trust him. And since then, these beasts had become friendlier. Kusha once asked about it and they said it was because they discovered that he was the next incarnation of the son of the sage of six paths and that because of this they re-evaluated their relationship with him finding that he was a respectable person and despite their bodies being sealed away to which Hashiama admitted was tragic they allowed it. They even allowed themselves to be passed down though they hardly had any say in the matter. But what Mito couldn't know now was what the tailed beasts were thinking. They had discovered something. This boy was another incarnation of the son of the sage of six paths. For the next few years, Naruto slowly began to grow and Mito, holding close to the last surviving member of his family, did everything he could to remain involved in the boy's life. Naruto joined the academy in an attempt to become a shinobi, which made Mato proud. But due to the workload of being Hokag, this made Naruto a bit of a latch key kid. Naruto despite having the best of teachers seems to be failing the academy training that he undergoes something Mito upon hearing this decides to have a conversation about over dinner. So Naruto Mito starts out I hear that you're not doing well in the academy. Naruto is silent for a moment. Mito smiles. Too many late nights playing video games? Mito asks. Naruto shakes his head. I just can't do it. He says I try and I try but I can't do it. Mino, after taking a look at his report card, sees that Naruto does well in all categories save for Njutsu, which the report card states that he can't even make one fitting clone. Mito looks up with a hint of a smile. Making clones is an important part of being a Shinobi. It's one of the better techniques in a Shinobi's arsenal. It's why we rarely ever graduate anyone to the rank of genine without knowing it. A few moments pass by and Mito speaks again. After dinner, we're going to give it a shot. It's not that hard to learn. It's just chakra control. Naruto seems hesitant but agrees. After supper, the two of them head out back into the last embers of twilight to test out the technique. Do you hear that? Minato asked. Naruto listened and heard crickets chirping. Yeah, I hear crickets. Mito nodded. Let those soothe your soul. You're okay here. I'm not going to yell or get angry. I just want to help you learn to use the jutsu I know you can do. So, go ahead and give it a shot. Mito said. Naruto nodded. Well, okay, he said. Putting his hands together, he attempted to make a clone. But despite his straining, all he managed to create was a small clone that was pale, sickly, and seemed like some deflated balloon dummy. "I think you're just overthinking it," Minto said. "You're straining to make the clone, but you don't need to. You have plenty of chakra. If you don't feel like you do, you can always ask the tailed beasts for a little." "I know," Naruto said. "Now try again. This time, don't force it. Just think about what you look like and turn that image in your head into an image in reality," Mino said. Naruto nodded. "Okay." He then began to do so. A second time, his face displayed straining on it, and the clone turned out like garbage. Mito shook his head. "No, Naruto. I said, don't strain." "Now just try once again." "Once more?" Naruto strained, and the clone came out wrong. "Why do you keep straining?" Mito asked. "I'm not," Naruto said. "That's not what your face says. I'm not, Naruto shouted. Hey, don't raise your voice. Mito said, I'm trying, Dad. I'm trying hard. Mito sighed. I know, and I'm telling you that you don't have to. You're putting too much pressure on yourself to make some perfect clone, but you don't have to strain. I'm not judging you. Just try not to strain it, okay? Now, try again. This time, don't push yourself." Naruto nodded. He took a deep breath and tried once more to make a clone. As he tried though, his face began to show strain. Naruto. Suddenly, Naruto hit his knees. He groaned and coughed, wheezing, grabbing at his chest. He let out cries of discomfort. Minato was shocked. "Naruto!" The moment Naruto fell unconscious, Mito ran over. "Naruto!" he shouted, rolling him over, he saw he was still gripping at his chest, his face twisted in pain. "What's wrong?" Naruto couldn't speak. He seemed as though he were trying to, but the words wouldn't come out. Mito picked up Naruto and began to move quickly toward the hospital. He had never seen anything quite like this before. People normally didn't react this way. "Naruto, can you hear me?" Mito asked, but Naruto didn't respond. The pain was too great. "Hold on, Naruto. I'll get you to the hospital." Mito rushed to the hospital where he called for help. The nurses ran over and loaded Naruto onto a stretcher. "What's wrong with him?" the nurses asked. "I have no clue," Mito said. "He was just practicing njutsu when he gripped his chest and fell over." The nurses began to wheel him out. Mito followed, but one of the nurses stopped him. No, you can't come in here, she said. The doctors need their space to work. We can't have a frantic father trying to do everything himself. Please wait outside. And that's exactly what Mito did. Eventually, one of the doctors came out. Lord forth, he said. Mito stood. How's Naruto? Is he okay? The doctor stood there for a moment. We're not exactly sure. What do you mean? Mito asked. The doctor then began to explain. Your son seems to have suffered from some form of a heart attack. A heart attack? Mito asked. How? The doctor shook his head. We can't be sure. It's possible that he suffers from some heart condition, but we haven't had time to check. We'll need more time to run tests. The doctor put his hand on Mito's shoulder. He's okay, though. He's stable right now, and we have him under close watch. He's resting. "Can I see him?" Mito asked. The doctor nodded. Mito was led to Naruto's room where he saw his son laid out unconscious. Is he in much pain? Mito asked. Not currently. We have him sedated. We'll wake him soon enough. The next day, they woke Naruto. What happened? Naruto asked. You seem to have suffered a sort of heart attack, the doctor said. Naruto is shocked. His blood pressure would have spiked if they didn't have him on medication. Don't worry. Right now, you're not in any danger. We're just checking things. Is something wrong with me? Naruto asked. We're working to figure that out, the doctor said. But don't worry. That's why we're here. Now that we know something might not be right, we can look to see what it might be and start treatment. Try not to worry about it. Just rest. Naruto nodded. Mito stayed with him the whole time. During this time, Naruto tried his best not to worry, but as you can imagine, that wasn't completely possible. Naruto's fear and worry wasn't something that could be so easily controlled. Not when he was in a hospital and told that there was probably something wrong with him. The more tests that the doctors ran, the less they came up with. They didn't seem to have any reason why Naruto's heart should be reacting the way it was. As Naruto lay there, he tried to sleep. During this time though, he found himself pulled into his own mental plane where Kurama and the other tailed beasts were waiting. Kurama, Shukaku, everyone else. What's going on? He asked. The tailed beasts remained quiet save for Kurama who spoke. We think we know why you suffered a heart attack, he said. Naruto is shocked. You do? Why then? Kurama then began to speak. Similar symptoms were experienced by your mother before she gave birth to you and even before that by the first Okag. It was caused by us, by you, Naruto questioned. Yes. You see, we're beasts made of incredible chakra. Your body is attempting to cope with the unnatural levels of chakra within and is failing. Your chakra pathway system is starting to collapse, and because of that, any attempts to mold chakra or use njutsu either fail or are met with severe recoil. What's going to happen to me then? Naruto asked. Well, you'll continue to grow worse from this point on until you're completely unable to utilize chakra. Then, if it continues to advance, you'll die. Naruto's face seemed to go pale. Die? Kurama nodded. Your mother and the firstag both died from this illness. I thought my mother died in childbirth. Naruto said she did, but the struggle of giving birth to a child is harsh and requires chakra. During childbirth, she suffered a massive heart attack and died. Naruto grew concerned. "Will that also happen to me?" he questioned. The tailed beast saw the fear in his eyes. Kurama lowered his head down to Naruto's level and pushed his nose to the boy to offer comfort. "I won't lie. It is possible. However, I want to offer you some hope. Someone else had this illness before you, and they survived." Naruto's eyes lit up. "Really? Who? The sage of six paths." Skurama said, "I don't know how he did it. I was very young when it all happened, and it was a very long time ago, but we all seem to remember that he did have it." "He wrote something down about it, too," Shukaku said. "If you can find his writings, maybe you can find the cure to the illness that plagues you," Kurama said. "Where do I begin looking?" Naruto asked. Kurama thought about it. "Try searching for anything that deals with the sage's travels. If you can find where he often made his abode, then maybe you'll find his writings, too." After this, Naruto woke up. Dad, he said. Mito came to his side. I'm here, Naruto. I have something to tell you, Naruto said. From here, he recounted what the tailed beasts had said to him. Mito was shocked and horrified to learn this and began to wonder why it is they never told anyone. Naruto explained that the tailed beasts didn't really know. They said that one is chance, two is coincidence, and three might be a pattern. However, they began to think that I might be excluded from it due to my age when I became their ginger. And they didn't tell me for fear it might make me worry. Mito could understand some of that. Okay, I'll begin gathering historians and we'll start getting everything we need to learn. If there's a way to cure you, Naruto will find it. Mito would then return to his office. There, he gathered the greatest historians the land of fire had to offer and brought them to his office to begin studying. They combed over everything they had. Mino used his influence to get a hold of other stuff related to the sage so they could further their knowledge of his travels. With all of this in use, they began to cooperate with other friendly nations that were known places he had traveled to and came to realize that all signs pointed toward the land of Redu. This place had cultural significance as a historical landmark due to the many dinosaur bones as well as the often visits of the sage of six paths. Due to this, they cooperated with the people of the land of Redu and found that they had information about it. And so, Mito would take his group of historians and would prepare to set out for Raku in hopes of finding the cure to whatever illness Naruto had. Upon getting there, Mito met with the king of Redu. Greetings, fair king of Redu. Greetings to you, Lord Hokag. To what do we owe the pleasure of your visit? My son is sick with the disease that has not been understood by doctors. It's believed to be a similar disease, if not the same as what was once contracted by the sage of six paths, who often visited your land. I see, the king said. It's tragic indeed. Tell me what we can do to help. Share with us anything you know of the sage and maybe we can find a cure. Of course, the king said, "Anything we have is at your disposal." Mito thanked him, and as such, they began to study, finding ancient texts that had been written by the sage himself. Mino inquired what they were about. The king said that there was so little information to go off of that they did not have the resources to properly decode it. Mito would call for language specialists and hope that they could decode it while he kept looking. Mato wouldn't have much to go off of. It would then be that the language specialists would inform Mito that they found something in the ancient texts in regards to an observatory by the edge of the land of Redu. The king would confirm that there was an observatory there. Considering that the borders of Riddaku were surrounded by steep mountain ranges, the most logical place to put an observatory would be there since it's so close to the sky, it would be easier to see the stars without obstructions. Mito read how often Hagodmo used to visit that place, and so he decided to go there in hopes of finding what he was looking for. Upon getting there, though, he found the place ransacked. The head astronomer was laying down, wounded. Mito came to his side. What happened here? Are you okay? The astronomer grimaced and opened his eyes. A man attacked us. What man? Mito asked. He said he wanted all the information we had on the sage of six paths. He said he wanted to use the information to complete his ultimate jutsu. What did the man look like? Mito asked. The astronomer opened his eyes. He was pale of complexion. His cheeks sunken in. His eyes glowed like a cat at night. His voice was tender and deceiving and his tongue was forked. The astronomer seemed to pass out again. Immediately, Mito knew who the astronomer was talking about. Orochi Maru. He was the smartest shinobi alive, compared only to Hirozen. Much like Hirozen, Orochimaru sought to know every njutsu. But Arochimaru, on the other hand, obsessed over it to a frightening degree. And due to his obsession, he had hurt many people, killed many people, and because of that, he had been a wanted man. His name currently topped the bingo book for how much he was worth. It hurt to put him there, but the truth was Arochimaru was dangerous, and by the sounds of what he had done, it was true. Mito reported to the king what had happened, and the man was sent to the hospital to recover. Mino then began to try his best to track down Orochi Maru. Orochi Maru had taken the papers related to the sage of six paths and Mino needed these back. So he set about attempting to track him. He tried for some time but nothing came up. It was then that Mito realized the truth. Jeriah had talked about Orochimaru around the time he was teaching Mino to use sage mode. He said that Orochimaru also trained to become a sage. Though his body could not utilize sage mode or a sage transformation, Arochimaru did indeed have the ability to use natural energy and tended to remain in a state where he was using it to supplement what he already had. Due to this, Mito knew he could probably sense and track Orochimaru using sage mode. And so, finding a place that was quiet in the observatory, Mito closed his eyes and entered the mode. As soon as he entered it, he began searching for things that, according to his senses, might be related to Arochimaru. Remembering where Arochimaru had trained, he knew that he had to search for any chakra signatures that seemed to be in the style of the snake sages of Ryui Cave. So, he sought energy that was similar to that of snakes. Upon detecting something, he rushed out and began to follow the trail. Following the energy signature, he was brought to a small cave. Looking in, he saw nothing but darkness, but knew that this was where Orochi Maru had gone. He carefully entered the cave. Descending down the steps, he made it to the bottom of the entrance. Keeping sage mode activated, he sought out and avoided certain traps. He needed to assume that Orochimaru already knew that he was there and as such was setting a trap for him. So, Mato continued on as if he had the element of surprise, but already assumed he didn't. As he entered the deepest part of the cave, he saw scientific equipment set up. It seemed that Orochimaru was still working on his experiments here, and that this must have been his home base for the duration of his time in the land of Redu. As he rounded a corner, he saw Orochimaru standing there waiting for him. a smile upon his face. Minato spoke. "So, I assume you already knew I was coming." Arochimaru smiled and nodded his head. "Then maybe you know what I'm here for. I want to know what the texts of the sage of six paths say." "Oh, have we become a bit of a scholar recently?" "No," Mito said. "My son is sick with a disease similar to that of the sage of six paths. I need to know how the sage cured himself." Mito stepped forward and offered his hand. if you would give me the papers now. I will let you walk out of the land of Redu without so much as a second glance. Orochimaru was quiet for a moment. Mito then tacked on a get out of jail free card. One use. You can get out of this place. Orochimaru seemed to contemplate it seriously. I think I'll pass, he said. These documents are far too important to me to just give up. Mito sighed. Then I guess that's where we reach our end. He pulled the kunai. Uh uh uh. he said as he pointed to the ground. Mito looked down and noticed various markings, glyphs, and formulas written there. "What is this?" Mito asked. Orochimaru sat down in a circle nearby a bone. "This is the culmination of all of my studies," Orochimaru said. In the other circle, he placed a live mouse. He then cut his hand and touched the ground. Once he had done this, the bone seemed to turn to ash. From there, all of the ashes around them surrounded the mouse. It was a horrible jutsu to witness. What have you done? Minato asked. Arochi Maru then spoke. I found a way to do what I've hoped to do for all of my life. Bring back the dead. The mass of the mouse seemed to shift with the inclusion of even more ashes. Mito watched as the monster grew until its shape stabilized. As it did so, it became similar in appearance to a Tyrannosaurus Rex. As the judu ended, Mito realized that this is what it was. It was a Tyrannosaurus Rex. As the beast stood to its full height, it roared. Arochimaru raced to another room in the hopes that he'd have enough time to gather everything he needed to escape. Mito wished to chase after, but the massive dinosaur stood between him and the door. Mito would have to fight, so he prepared to. Still in sage mode, he ran at the dinosaur, but in return, it charged at him to bite. Mito dodged and struck the dinosaur in the face. The beast stumbled back before turning around again in an attempt to smash Mito with its powerful jaw, but Mito dodged. The beast was quick to respond and continued its turn until it smashed its tail into Mato, sending him flying. Mito hit the ground and rolled. He managed to stand and former Asengon. Running back at the beast, he smashed it, causing bits of its face to fall off, exposing the ash underneath. Mito smiled, pleased that he had done some damage. However, his celebrations did not last long as the Tyrannosaurus's face mended with the return of the ash. Mito stood there in awe, wondering what it would take to kill something like this. He then seemed to recall a special jutsu in the scroll of seals. It was what this one appeared to be based on and seemed to have been created by the only other mad scientist that Minato knew, Tobiiama Senju. According to the scroll, while the judu was incomplete, it could revive the dead, albeit weaker than before. The only ways to undo the jutsu where if the caster let it go, you convinced the spirit to move on to the afterlife or you sealed the Ido Tensei away. Mito, thanks to his marriage to Kusha, learned many Usuzamaki techniques, many of which were seals. And so, picking one, he began to perform it. He sealed the monster into a scroll and moved past it into the back room where Orochimaru would be. There he saw nothing but messy papers that had been rifled through. Mito, still in sage mode, continued to search for Orochimaru. Upon finding him, he would engage with him again. Orochimaru would utilize windrelease gale palm to push Mito back, but Mito resen in hand rushed in again. He attempted to hit Orochimaru with the reengon, but Orochimaru pushed Mito's hand away at just the right moment, causing Mito to obliterate a tree. Splinters flying everywhere. Orochimaru proceeded to take advantage of the moment by turning his arms into snakes and then wrapping Mito up. Mito would try to pull away, but as he did so, the snakes would bite Mito. Minato with his kunai would begin removing their heads one by one until he was free. From that point, he began to consider next moves. He considered throwing paper bombs at the ground around Orochi Maru to kill him by leaving him with no place to go. However, he refused to do this because in doing so, he would probably destroy the texts he had sought so long after. So instead, he resorted to using his flying rajin technique to get through Orochimaru's defenses. He threw Akunai at Orochimaru's head. Orochimaru dodged the attack by moving his head to the side. As he did though, Mito teleported to the kunai and proceeded to swing it at Orochi Maru. The blade nicked the side of Orochimaru's cheek. He stumbled a bit, trying to get his bearings. Mito formed a reenod and attempted to jump off the tree he was near to push himself into Orochi Maru. Orochimaru didn't have time to dodge and soon after was hit by the reengon. The former Sanin rolled along the ground and came to a stop. Mito walked a little closer, ready to end it when all of the sudden, Orochimaru spoke. I yield. Mito stopped for a moment and looked at Orochimaru curiously. Orochimaru looked up. Is that deal still on the table? Mito scoffed. No, you kind of squandered it. I'm going to take that scroll by force now, and you'll be sent to Hosoki Castle for the rest of your natural life. Arochimaru sighed. That's too bad. I mean, who else would know how to break the cipher? What? Mito asked. Orochimaru smiled. Aren't you sending me off to Hoszuki Castle? I don't exactly have time to help you. I'll be busy getting my affairs in order. Mito sighed and knelt down to Orochimaru. Help me solve this and get the cure to whatever ails my son. And not only will I let you go, but I won't even stop you from taking those scrolls. Deal? Orochimaru smiled and nodded. Deal. And so the two began to work deciphering the papers. Through their combined efforts, they discovered the truth of what happened. Hagodmo had been ill. No longer able to mold Chakra and suffering from sudden heart attack symptoms, Hagodmo began to believe that the end of his life was at hand. And maybe that was for the best. This world had seen its fair share of death through the clan and lineage of the sage. But all the same, like everyone else, he did not wish to die. Because then, how could he watch his two sons grow up? Seeking a quiet place to think, Hagodmo found himself returning to the land of Raku. It was an arid nation, growing quite warm in the summer and quite cold in the winter, with little to no exception. They had, in times past, had issues with sustainability in their land due to water. So, Hagodmo, to show his appreciation, had left them an object that would create an unlimited supply of water so long as they knew how to use it. For this gift, they allowed Haguro to come and go as he pleased. Hagodo loved this little nation. Secluded and hidden in mountains, it was surrounded on all sides by no man's land, meaning it had no neighbors. And due to this, there was never any war. It was to the point that the very people who lived here did not even truly understand the concept of war. And Hogmo had no intention of teaching them. As he journeyied this land, he found a place to rest. And as he did so, he began to think of ways he might reverse this. He considered using his yin-yang release creation of all things technique in an attempt to alter reality. But the issue with that was how was he supposed to use such a technique to heal himself when the illness he possessed had to do with utilizing chakra? At this point, the sage was so tired and unable to use chakra that his eyes had reverted to their base form. Just brown irises, not unlike those commonly seen in humans. Despite all the time he took, he never did discover how to cure his illness. And due to this, he had pretty much decided that he would die. However, as he visited the observatory in hopes of taking a look at the distant stars from which his clan had appeared, he noticed something, something that even other astronomers hadn't. Looking up at the moon, he hoped to see if he could find Hammeda's settlement upon it. Though it seemed as though Hammeda had settled on the dark side of the moon, the side that no one could see. As he did this, something caught his attention. There was a smaller celestial body in the sky, invisible to the naked eye, barely visible to the telescope. They were using a small orb, a miniature satellite, it seemed, a small moon. It orbited the skies very quickly, activating his renegon, and despite the stress it put on his heart, he willed the orb to come down to the ground. As he did, he looked it over. It seemed to contain some form of energy. Hagaromo was at a loss as to what this meteor was. But it possessed a power unlike anything he'd found on Earth. A natural energy that astounded Haguro. Absorbing some of the chakra that had been emanating from this sphere, he found his chakra pathway system breathe open for the first time in a long while and found his chakra pathway system healed. The symptoms he faced disappeared and he was cured for the remainder of his life. Realizing just how important this miniature moon was, he split it in two, sealing one fragment in the nearby lake and the other back into space where it once belonged, Hagodmo sealed it away in the lake with a certain set of hand gestures. As Arochimaru and Mato read this, they knew where the lake was. They made their way to the lake, and there Arochimaru told Minto that he was free to begin. Mito stood there before the water, beginning to weave hand signs. After wielding the final sign, the ground began to shake around them. Eventually, from the lake, something arose. Minato grabbed it and looked at it. It appeared to be the meteor from the sky. He smiled, feeling the energy coming off of it. He wasn't even sick, and he felt his chakra pathway system being opened by the meteor. Now that you have your prize, may I go? Orochimaru asked. Mito looked up. Yes, but make sure I never see your face again or ever hear that you're harming anyone. If I ever do, I will be on you like gravy on a biscuit. Arochimaru smiled at the corny saying before turning around and walking away. He offered a raised hand and waved. He then disappeared. Minato would proceed to return to his group and tell them to pack up and head home, saying he would meet them there and was going ahead of them. He offered his gratitude to the king of the land of Redu and would proceed to head back to Konoha. There he would enter the hospital with Naruto. He found his son sleeping, smiling at seeing his son's face again, Mito walked over to him and proceeded to wake him. Naruto, Naruto, he said. Naruto opened his eyes. Dad, he asked. Sitting up in his bed, he spoke. You came back. Of course I did, Mito said. And I brought something with me. What did you bring? Naruto asked. Mito smiled. I brought with me the cure to your disease. Naruto's eyes widened. You found the thing that cured the sage? Naruto asked. Mito nodded. It was hard to do, but with a little help from an unlikely source, I managed to get a hold of it. Minato then presented to Naruto the half sphere. Naruto looked at it. "Absorb its energy," Minato said. Naruto did as commanded and suddenly felt his chakra pathway system flare to life. "Wo," Naruto said as he was shocked by the feel of it. "What is this?" he asked. "That's your disease being cured." Naruto put the rock down. "Let me test it out," he said, getting out of bed. He thought about it, put his hands together, and spoke. "Clone jutsu." Suddenly, beside him, not one but two perfect clones appeared. I did it, Naruto said. And I didn't even feel any pain. Naruto hugged Mito. "Thanks, Dad." Mito laughed. "I'm just glad you're okay." And from there, Naruto's symptoms never returned. He was cured of this disease and continued to serve as the Tentails Genturiki for the rest of his life. It was then put into law that should anyone ever become the next gen Churik of all nine beasts, they had to be able to absorb energy from the meteorite to stay healthy. And if at any point the meteorite was destroyed, then to mitigate the need for it, they would simply choose nine ginger to house each beast, which should keep people from getting sick while doing pretty much the same job. And as peace continued to exist in the world, eventually Minato passed the role of Hokag down to his own son. He then lived the remainder of his life enjoying the peace that continued to exist because of the actions of Hashiama Senju. Mino would later die at a ripe old age, happy to finally be able to see his wife again. And that's the end of the story. I hope you enjoyed it. I took a lot of inspiration from the Ratsuda novels. While I've sadly never had the chance to read them myself, I found studying for this video to be rather strenuous, as I couldn't seem to find the cure to Naruto's disease anywhere in the fandoms, wikis, or anything. At least not at the time of writing this. And due to that, I nearly gave up and had to see Naruto die in this one. But thanks to the user, the Naruto Express, for helping to explain the missing pieces. Due to them explaining it all in a comment in a thread, I was able to piece together a happy ending for our favorite ginger. So, if you ever see that comment on Reddit anywhere, be sure to give it plenty of up votes. They saved Naruto's life. Anyway, I hope that you enjoyed the video. If you did, be sure to let me know in the comments what you thought about it and what you might like to see next. Also, be sure to like, subscribe, ring the bell, and all that other good stuff. It helps our channel out tremendously and also helps you out by letting you know when more videos like this drop. Until next time, friends. Peace out.
Before we begin, only 25% of our viewers are subscribed. So, if you're a fan of the video, please like and double check if you're subscribed. And with that out of the way, let's get into the video. Peace out.
